PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
Pursuant to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws (MGL), Chapter 87, Public Shade Tree Law, Section 3 (Cutting of Public Shade Trees; Hearing; Damages) and M.G.L. Chapter 40, Section 15c (Scenic Road) and Article VI, Section 10 of the Rowe General Bylaws (Scenic Roads), the Town of Rowe Tree Warden and Planning Board will hold a Joint Public Hearing on Tuesday, October 6 at 6:00PM in person at the Rowe Town Hall, 321 Zoar Road, Rowe, MA 01367 and Via Zoom Participation https://us02web.zoom.us/j/2880657035?omn=89390191137. All trees are marked on or near and noticed with the corresponding identification number below.
The purpose of this hearing is to consider a request from Town of Rowe for the removal of three (3) public shade trees located within the public rights-of-way of Hazleton Road at Shippee Brook. This action is requested to support the reconstruction of a roadway culvert. Plans may be viewed at Town Hall.
The specific trees petitioned for removal are designated by tree number, common name, taxonomic genus/species, and diameter at breast height (DBH) as follows: SB1, Sugar Maple, Acer saccharum, 18"; SB2, Yellow Birch, Betula alleghaniensis, 22"; SB3, Eastern Hemlock, Tsuga canadensis, 12"
Under M.G.L. Chapter 87, Section 4, any person objecting to the proposed removal of any or all of these public shade trees may object in writing to the Tree Warden at or before the time of the public hearing, or may appear and provide testimony at the public hearing. Written comments may be submitted via email to the Tree Warden at rowetreewarden@gmail.com or delivered by mail or in-person to Town Hall prior to the close of business on October 6, 2026.

Rowe Planning Board Rules and Regulations
The Rowe Planning Board will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at 6:30pm. This hearing will be held at Rowe Town Hall, Conference Room 1 with remote attendance via Zoom Participation https://us02web.zoom.us/j/2880657035?omn=89390191137. The purpose is to consider Rules and Regulations for the conduct of Planning Board business. The proposed regulations can be viewed at the Town Clerk’s Office, 321 Zoar Rd. in Rowe during regular business hours: Monday 8-12 and Thursday 5-7. Written comments may be submitted to the Planning Board at Town Hall or by emailing the Planning Board at planningboard@rowe-ma.gov
