SPECIAL TOWN MEETING

Location: at the Rowe Fire Station Parking Lot in said Rowe

To act on the following articles:

ARTICLE 1: To see if the Town will vote to APPROPRIATE FROM CAPITAL STABILIZATION the sum of $26,000.00 for the purchase of the Fire Department Quick Attack Rescue Vehicle; or take any action in relation thereto.

Explanation: At the Annual Town Meeting in May, the cost of the vehicle was $300,000.00 and the purchase of the vehicle was approved. The $300,000.00 estimate included the costs associated with the bidding process and purchase of radios for the vehicle. The vehicle was put out to bid and the lowest bid came in for $320,000.00 or over by $20,000.00 due to the supply chain shortages increase costs of suppliers. In addition, the costs associated with the bidding process and purchase of radios for the vehicle require and additional $6,000.00 bringing the total needed to purchase and equip the vehicle to $326,000.00.

NOTE: Appropriations from a stabilization fund require two-thirds majority vote.

ARTICLE 2: To transact any other business of a lawful and pertinent nature that may come before the meeting.
